Five stars. I purchased the BlueStar mechanical thermostat #702901 (1712101 / KKTB-11-48) for my RCS36-IR range, and it was a perfect replacement for the original thermostat. Installation went smoothly and the oven is working perfectly again. BlueStar currently offers a newer electronic thermostat conversion kit for these older ranges, but in my case no conversion was necessary—the original-style mechanical 702901 was exactly what I needed. Very happy that Let’s Talk Parts still had this part available. Hopefully this helps another RCS36-IR owner looking to keep the original mechanical thermostat.
